Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence is not the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
