The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts substantial online presence

Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent supporters as she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she added.

"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

However she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai exposes golf to wider groups, especially among youth audiences.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
